What are you reading now and why are you reading it?
Answer:
Well, for English I am reading The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. So far, I am disappointed. I expected it to be much more intriguing than it is. I really do hope I begin to like it more sometime within the next chapter.
I am also in the middle of re-reading Eyes Like Stars by Lisa Mantchev so that I can read the next book, Perchance to Dream.

Ooh, I remember Eyes Like Stars. I haven't heard it mentioned in the blogasphere recently, it's nice to hear of it :)
Happy Hopping :)

Just recently heard about these Lisa Mantchev books - so far all I hear it good things. I'm going to have to put them on the list.
Thanks for stopping by my hop! I'm a new follower.
Gatsby is another one of those classics that has been on my TBR list forever, but that I've never managed to make myself read. One of these days I'm determined to do it! I hope it gets better for you.
Just hopping on by! Yeah, from what I can remember I wasn't too impressed with The Great Gatsby - pretty sure I had a tough time connecting with any of the characters. Hope it gets better for you!
I've never read the Great Gatsby before, so I'll be very interested in reading your review when you finish!
Just an old follower stopping by to say hi!

Hopping through. I enjoyed The Great Gatsby in school. I did read Pride and Prejudice in high school and didn't like it much. I re-read it when I was 23 and fell in love with it. So even if you don't like it now, maybe you'll like it later.
My Hop
Ah, I never really cared for the Great Gatsby either. I just didn't care enough about the characters, I guess.
I'm reading a whole bunch of things right now. I'm slowly making my way through Slice of Cherry by Dia Reeves, but only a few pages at a time, and never before bed, because it is even scarier and more intense than I had expected! I hadn't realized it's a sequel to Bleeding Violet.
And I'm reading Trickster's Girl and The Great Wall of Lucy Wu.
I'm tempted to put them all aside for the moment though, and start reading Delirium, which I just got and I've been eager to read for a while.
